What are Sixto Enriquez Rivera's implicit blessings transmitted to his son, his son~in~law, his grandson, and his daughter, if he did not speak out loud much?
To Mercedes Millano Evangelista Fabro Rivera~Khan: May you be merciless to the transgressors and may you be merciful to the righteous. May you be like Esther.
To Phoenix: May you don the Priestly Vestiges with Pride, may you don the wet Pillow of John the Baptist, and may you don the fiery tongs of the Holy Spirit.
To Anthony H. Khan: May you cast lots upon the courageous, may your cup overflow, and may you and your White Steed be swift to smuggle in Salvation.
To Clifford: May you dash sinners upon the rock; may you clear the stones out of the way of transgressors, but if they persist, however, bombard them with out knowledge. May you be like Jonah.
Robert Rothwell: Blessing the Israel of God, therefore, does not mean supporting every policy of the modern nation-state of Israel. But blessing the Israel of God means, in this new covenant era, blessing the church of Christ—supporting its work, doing good to its people, striving for its peace and purity, and so forth. God will bless those who bless His people, the church.
pastoral letter dated 2020 March 9 Monday signed by Bishop Broderick Pabillo, temporary head of The Archdiocese of Manila: 6. For the time being, the beautiful Filipino sign of reverence in holding the hands of the priests and the elderly (the “mano po”) can be substituted by a slight bow with a smile or by a slight touch on the head for the giving of the blessing.
VIRGINIA MILLANO EVANGELISTA FABRO~RIVERA: Give me that Book.
CLIFFORD: Here.
VIRGINIA MILLANO EVANGELISTA FABRO~RIVERA: Oh, you found It?
CLIFFORD: You gave It to me.

Michael Corleone: Nephew, from this moment on, call yourself "Vincent Corleone,,,"
NANCY E. EPSTEIN: Spiritual development does not stop as one ages. It might intensify. Each person, regardless of age or physical or mental status, has value. We have an inherent responsibility to provide for future generations. Thomas Cole, a leading scholar of aging, health and the humanities, wrote: “One does not retire from the [Jewish] covenant, which provides a fundamental framework and obligation between God and the Jewish people.”

LEAH BERKOWITZ: Serach bat Asher was the granddaughter of the biblical Jacob, listed in two biblical genealogies, 400 years apart (Genesis 46:17, Numbers 26:46). Because of her inordinately long lifespan, the rabbis ascribed magical powers to her.
TESS CAGLE: I personally don’t believe the rules laid out in the Old Testament need to be followed verbatim; you can discern what works best for your relationship with God by praying about it.
